IBP-5A:
Test specimens are cut with a dimension of 25,4 mm wide and 200 mm long. The test specimen is placed in the tape dispenser pulling the tapes from opposite end at the same time. This way, the “Sandwich” of paper and tape in both sides of the paper is prepared automatically. The test specimen is now placed in the blocks and the equipment must be closed. The 5 aluminium angles go directly over the test specimen. The pressure is settled in Newtons or Psi, time is also settled in seconds, and finally the number of cuts is selected depending on the paper thickness. Test button is pressed and the test cycle starts. The pressure application and cutting is done automatically. When finishing the test, the equipment is opened and the test specimens removed. Now the specimens are ready to be tested in the Scott Bond equipment.
IBP-5M:
Test specimens are cut with a dimension of 25,4 mm wide and 200 mm long. The adhesive tape is pulled from the roll and placed over the sample support. Then, the sample to be tested is placed and finally, the “Sandwich” is finished by putting an adhesive tape strip over the sample. The equipment must be closed. The 5 aluminium angles go directly over the test specimen. The pressure is settled in Newtons or Psi, time is also settled in seconds. Test button is pressed and the test cycle starts. Once finished, the equipment is opened, the sample supports are removed and the samples are cut with a cutter.
